Randhir Kapoor has dismissed reports speculating his younger brother Rishi Kapoor has been diagnosed of cancer. Over the weekend, Rishi Kapoor, 66, tweeted about taking leave and going to the US for medical treatment, but requested not to ‘unnecessarily speculate.’
However, several unconfirmed reports later stated that Rishi Kapoor is suffering from advanced stage cancer. Speaking to news agency PTI, Randhir Kapoor said: “This is all rumour. He is at the moment fine. As he is in great pain, he will be undergoing test tomorrow. He did discuss it with us regarding his health.”
The 102 Not Out actor had tweeted about it and also mentioned that due to the wear and tear caused through films, he’ll be in the US for treatment and he had mentioned of coming back soon.

An online portal also wrote an article which spoke about how the actor was in the US for chemotherapy sessions and his wife Neetu Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor accompanied him. Rishi missing from his mother Krishna Raj Kapoor’s funeral added more fuel to the fire.
Rishi Kapoor was last seen in Mulk and his next film is Rajma Chawal.
