Sushant Singh Rajput is gearing up for the release of his disaster-drama, Kedarnath. The movie is set against the backdrop of the Kedarnath floods of 2013 and stars Sara Ali Khan opposite the actor. While it sounds like quite an exciting project, here is another one by the actor that will pique your interest in his filmography. The first look poster of his film Sonchiriya, has been released by the makers and it looks intense.
Sushant will be seen playing a dacoit in the upcoming film, Sonchiriya. We got a leaked picture of his look a few months ago and were left stunned. Now, in the official look, he stuns even more. He is standing along with his dacoit buddies played by Manoj Bajpayee, Ranveer Shorey and others. The movie also stars Ashutosh Rana and Bhumi Pednekar, who have been billed on the poster.
However, before we catch up the trailer, Sushant and Bhumi shared new posters of Sonchiriya. On the poster, we get to see both the actors in their dacoit avatar with aggressive expressions on their face and guns in their hands. Sushant Singh Rajput captioned the poster, “गोलियों, बाग़ियों aur बैरियों ke शहर, चम्बल ki कहानी lekar aa raha #SonchiriyaTrailer kal! @bhumipednekar @bajpayee.manoj @ranvirshorey #AshutoshRana #AbhishekChaubey #RonnieScrewvala”.
The poster has some text written which reads, “Bairi beimaan, baaghi saavdhaan“.

Earlier, the makers of Sonchiriya released few posters which got us really intrigued.

Earlier while shooting for the film in Chambal, Sushant had told IANS, “Shooting for Abhishek Chaubey’s film is on full swing. I came here in Chambal early to do a bit of warm-up for the film. Visiting ravines, talking to locals, working on dialect and inflection and a bit of cut-off from everything before the shoot helps keep the right things in perspective.”
To prep for his role in the film, Sushant Singh Rajput has reportedly interacted with some former dacoits in Chambal before the project went on floors.
Of Bhumi’s preparations for Sonchiriya, a source earlier told DNA, “Bhumi chose dusty suburban fields to swanky gyms as her training ground and her workout regime included walking with buckets filled with water on her head under the boiling sun, sweeping and cleaning floors, walking barefoot in dusty fields and lanes, grinding wheat, among other rigorous household chores that rural women in India do.”

Let’s check out the teaser of Sonchiriya below:
