Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War is about to complete a week in the theatres and within such a short span of its release, the film has already been recognised as the biggest opener of 2019 at the box office till date. In just six days, Siddharth Anand’s directorial venture has made a total business of Rs 187.75 crore till Monday – Rs 180.3 crore for just the Hindi version and Rs 7.45 crore collectively for Tamil and Telugu. On Day 6, War earned Rs 20.6 crore at the box office, somewhere close to Day 3 collection of the Hindi version, which was Rs 21.3 crore. As compared to Sunday’s earnings, while the film’s collection dropped down by around Rs 16 crore on Monday, Ram Navami’s holiday was a boon for Hrithik and Tiger’s film.
Going by the figures of its successful opening, other days’ collection and given that Dussehra, Tuesday, is a holiday in some parts of the country, the film can very well hit a double century at the box office in its first week itself.
The film earned Rs 100 crore in just three days of its release.
